Challenge to detention of torture survivors

On 19 July 2018 there will be an initial hearing of a challenge brought by Medical Justice to changes to the Government’s policy on the detention of torture victims. Medical Justice believes that the changes will make it easier for the Home Office to detain vulnerable migrants, including survivors of torture.

Medical Justice is represented by Ben Jaffey QC and Shu Shin Luh instructed by Jed Pennington of Bhatt Murphy.
