Coroner highlights possible increased suicide risk amongst young Eritrean refugees
The Senior Coroner for Inner North London, Ms Mary Hassell, has directed the London Borough of Camden to alert other local authorities that there may be an increased risk of suicide amongst Eritrean young people who arrived in the UK as Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC).
Inquest into death of 20 year old Sasha Forster in care of Surrey mental health services begins
Sasha Forster died aged 20 on 31 March 2017. She had been detained under the Mental Health Act and died after taking an overdose whilst on leave from a mental health hospital run by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
