She is currently working in our Public Inquires team, representing the Long COVID Groups in the UK COVID-19 Inquiry and Families/Patients in the Lampard Inquiry.
Fathia joined Bhatt Murphy in 2023 as an Office and Legal Assistant before joining the firm’s paralegal team. She worked on civil claims against public authorities and assisted families of those who have died under public authority care or custody in inquest proceedings.
Prior to joining Bhatt Murphy, she volunteered at Citizens Advise as a telephone assessor answering and guiding distress calls on their crisis line.
Fathia is particularly interested in protecting vulnerable women and children and assisting clients with seeking accountability from the police and other public state bodies for wrongful arrests or detention arising from discrimination, assault, false imprisonment and breaches of the Human Rights Act and Equality Act.
Fathia graduated from SOAS University of London with an LLB and hopes to commence her SQE studies.
