Bex graduated from the University of Manchester with a first-class degree in politics and international relations and worked in television production before pursuing law. She received the Chancellor’s Scholarship to study Law MA at Sussex University, graduating with distinction in 2022.

During her studies, she worked on the STAR programme to assist young refugees to write personal statements for higher education. She also volunteered with the Law & Policy Clinic Programme, contributing academic research to a paper on gender inequality in Mali.

Bex has been an active organiser and advocate with groups campaigning for animal rights and environmental protection. She has also been involved in campaigns to highlight and challenge state failures regarding violence towards women and girls.

In her spare time, Bex volunteers with FoodCycle, an organisation which uses surplus ingredients to provide nutritious vegetarian meals for people suffering food poverty, homelessness and social isolation.

Bex worked as a clinical negligence paralegal before joining the Covid-19 Public Inquiry team at Bhatt Murphy where she represents Disabled People’s Organisations.
