Sara Abbas

Sara joined Bhatt Murphy Solicitors as a trainee solicitor in April 2019 and currently works in our Immigration Detention and Prison Law teams.

Sara graduated from King’s College London with a degree in International Politics in 2014. She then completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and attained a distinction in her Legal Practice Course at BPP.

During her legal studies, Sara volunteered at the British Red Cross providing support to refugees, and participated in pro bono projects including StreetLaw and the Employment Law Telephone Advice Line. Sara also took a role as an Advice and Information Volunteer at Liberty.

Prior to joining the firm, Sara worked as a paralegal assisting with a range of cases in the Actions Against the Police and Public Law departments of another law firm, where she also contributed to the firm’s representation of Core Participants at public inquiries.
