Linah Keza: officers found guilty of gross misconduct in domestic homicide case

Allegations of gross misconduct have been upheld against three officers arising out of failings prior to the death of Linah Keza in July 2013.

Linah was murdered by her ex-partner David Gikawa.

In the week before her death she had repeatedly sought the protection of the police as he had made threats to kill, was carrying a knife and was stalking her.

Three officers have now been found guilty of gross misconduct by an independent disciplinary panel in relation to failures before her death.

Sophie Naftalin acts for Linah’s family, instructing Rajeev Thacker at Garden Court Chambers.
