Work Experience

We launched our Summer Placement Scheme in 2012 with the aim of offering paid work placements to undergraduate students who cannot afford to undertake unpaid work experience or who are from under-represented groups within our firm and the broader legal profession.

We know from our experience as recruiters that gaining relevant experience can make a crucial difference to a candidate’s ability to secure a training contract.

Every year we give undergraduate students (of any academic discipline) the opportunity to experience working life at Bhatt Murphy.  Placements are paid at London Living Wage rates and we help with accommodation and travel costs for students living outside of central London.

Summer 2026

We are no longer accepting applications for Summer 2026.  Candidates can expect to hear from us by the end of May 2026.

Please note that we do not offer ad-hoc work experience or internships outside of our summer placement scheme.  There are no exceptions to this and we politely ask that you do not send speculative applications to the firm.
