Two police officers who had close contact with Bijan Ebrahimi on the weekend before he was murdered, PC Leanne Winter and PC Helen Harris, have been dismissed from Avon & Somerset Constabulary for gross misconduct.

A tree has been planted in memory of Bijan Ebrahimi by Bristol City Council in a ceremony at which the Chief Constable of Avon & Somerset Police publicly apologised to Bijan’s family for failing to protect his life.
Following their conviction for misconduct in public office in December 2015, PC Kevin Duffy and PCSO Andrew Passmore have now been dismissed from Avon and Somerset Constabulary with immediate effect.
