The Parliamentary Joint Committee on Human Rights has launched an inquiry into the impact of the practice of placing for adoption children born to unmarried women between 1949 and 1976.
Evidence from adopted adults, birth parents and others affected can be submitted here by 28 October 2021.
The case follows representations in support of a public inquiry, made during 2016 and 2017, by Carolynn Gallwey of Bhatt Murphy on behalf of those affected by this widespread practice.
