Senior Metropolitan Police officers have invited black fireman Edric Kennedy-Macfoy to a meeting to discuss how police officers could learn from his experience.

Mr Kennedy-Macfoy has worked alongside police officers for 11 years as a firefighter, and continues to do so as a Crew Manager with the London Fire Brigade. He has accepted the invitation and has agreed to meet with Chief Superintendent Victor Olisa, the Met’s Head of Strategic Diversity and Inclusion, to explore how diversity training within the Metropolitan Police can be improved.
