Inquest finds statutory failings may have contributed to death of Colleen Madden following release from prison

Colleen Madden, 31, died shortly after being released from prison, in temporary hotel accommodation provided by the London Borough of Camden in January 2025. The Coroner concluded that had Camden carried out its statutory duties, it was possible that Colleen would have been placed in alternative accommodation and would not have died in the place and manner that she did.

The family is represented by Catriona McGregor of Bhatt Murphy, instructing Sophie Walker of One Pump Court Chambers.
