Met removes caution from victim of domestic abuse

Following the issue of a judicial review claim, the Metropolitan Police Service has removed a caution for ABH given to a mother of two for biting her violent and abusive husband on the ear.

The claim was made on the basis that the caution was an ‘incorrect disposal’, it was against the public interest and it was preventing the claimant from obtaining work. The judge found that the MPS’ 9 month delay in considering the claimant’s application for deletion was unacceptable.
