Press photographer complains about police behaviour at Corbyn Rally

A day before the last general election, our client – a press photographer – was physically restrained by a police officer whilst photographing a rally led by Jeremy Corbyn. His complaint about the incident is now the subject of an IPCC investigation.

The photographer is unclear as to what prompted the incident, which left him shocked and injured, and his photography equipment was damaged. The IPCC’s criminal investigation will consider charges of assault and/or criminal damage.

Bhatt Murphy acts for the photographer.
