Sebastian graduated from the University of Warwick with a first-class degree in History and an MA in Global History before pursuing law. He obtained a Graduate Diploma in Law with Commendation in 2019. Alongside his studies he volunteered as a Vocalise Mentor with Gray’s Inn, competed in a range of moots and mock trials, and undertook Mini-Pupillages and Marshalling, with a focus on public and criminal law.
During his GDL, Sebastian volunteered with Citizens Advice as a welfare adviser and tribunal advocate, representing benefit claimants in appealing rejected claims. Following this, Sebastian worked for Turn2Us on the award-winning Connect App, and then worked at Kesar & Co Solicitors as a Paralegal in the Prison Law team. In this role he represented prisoners at parole hearings as well as working on criminal appeals, discrimination claims, and public law challenges.
In 2022 Sebastian was awarded a Lord Justice Holker Scholarship by Gray’s Inn to study the Bar Practice Course, graduating with a Very Competent in 2023. After completing his studies, Sebastian joined Bhatt Murphy in 2023 and is representing Long Covid Groups on the Covid-19 Public Inquiry.
