Mavi joined Bhatt Murphy in 2023 as a trainee solicitor.
Prior to joining Bhatt Murphy, Mavi was a paralegal in the Actions Against the Police team at Deighton Pierce Glynn, where she gained experience working on group claims, and public and private claims related to prisons and deaths in custody. Before this, she was a civil litigation paralegal at Hickman and Rose, where she worked on inquests, actions against the police, and criminal appeals.
Mavi graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in Economics and Politics. She completed a Senior Status LLB and an LLM in Human Rights Justice and Conflict at the School of Oriental and African Studies. During her studies, she volunteered at Lambeth Law Centre and the Bar Pro Bono Unit.
Before completing her LPC at the University of Law, Mavi worked in an access to justice charity and was an Amicus ALJ intern at a capital defence office in the US.
