Molly Cox

Molly is a solicitor at Bhatt Murphy. She specialises in civil actions against the police and other state bodies, and represents bereaved families in inquests.

Molly acts for individuals in police complaints and claims for unlawful arrest, excessive use of force, negligence, malicious prosecution, discrimination, breaches of the Human Rights Act and Data Protection Act, and judicial review. She is developing a particular specialism in representing victims of modern slavery and human trafficking. Molly is also part of the team representing core participants in the Undercover Policing Inquiry.

Molly has a degree in law from the University of Cambridge. She trained at Bindmans LLP, where she worked for five years before joining Bhatt Murphy in July 2020. She is a member of the Police Action Lawyers Group, INQUEST Lawyers Group, and Young Legal Aid Lawyers.
