Tori completed her undergraduate degree in Law with French at Sussex University in 1996. She then undertook a postgraduate degree in International Human Rights Law graduating from Essex University in 2000. She qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and has worked at a number of leading firms prior to joining Bhatt Murphy in August 2021.
Tori is an accredited Immigration Law Advanced caseworker and supervisor under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum scheme.
Tori specialises in immigration, asylum and public law claims, focusing on judicial review and Court of Appeal cases. She frequently acts in urgent cases for individuals facing removals, obtaining High Court injunctions and other forms of interim relief. She has successfully acted in public law and private law claims which have resulted in significant remedies including substantial financial settlements. Additionally Tori has acted in a number of complex asylum claims, including country guidance case law, as well as cases seeking to enforce the rights of applicants with criminal convictions and vulnerable individuals suffering mental ill-health.
Tori was recognised as the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year in the Immigration and Asylum category in 2020 in recognition of her dedication to those she represents and her legal acumen.
