Before joining the firm in October 2025, Vicky completed her PhD at the University of Oxford, where she researched the criminalisation of people seeking asylum in the UK. Her research has been cited in major news outlets, parliamentary debates, and communications from the UN Special Rapporteur on Migrants Rights to the UK Government. Throughout her PhD, Vicky taught Criminology at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and was Associate Director of the international research network Border Criminologies.
Vicky has previously worked as a Research Consultant for the British Red Cross on issues of asylum and refugee policy, and as a Research Consultant and Caseworker at Humans for Rights Network. She was previously Director of Screen Share UK, an organisation dedicated to tackling the digital divide experienced by people seeking safety in the UK. Vicky has also volunteered with organisations providing direct aid to people on the move in Northern France and the UK, as well as for legal charities and firms including Just for Kids Law and Turpin and Miller LLP.
Prior to her PhD, Vicky worked as a Senior Researcher in the Civil Service on issues of asylum, refugee, and resettlement policy.
Vicky graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2018 with a Double First Class degree in Geography. She obtained an MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies from the University of Oxford in 2019 with Distinction.
