The Court of Appeal granted permission for a challenge to the scope of legal aid for prisoners brought by the Howard League and the Prisoners’ Advice Service.
The two charities were represented by Simon Creighton of Bhatt Murphy and Phillippa Kaufmann at Matrix Chambers, Martha Spurrier and Alex Gask of Doughty Street.
